Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a technical discipline (information systems, engineering, computer science, or similar) or equivalent professional background.
- Over 8 years of experience in a technical IT role, encompassing service management or project leadership.
- More than 5 years of experience in project or personnel leadership.
- Comprehensive IT knowledge, particularly in the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including planning, requirement gathering, design, testing, deployment, and ongoing support of enterprise systems in intricate settings.
- Experience with either SharePoint or enterprise search platforms.
- Strong analytical abilities, multitasking skills, and effective communication.
- Outstanding customer service skills, follow-through, and ability to engage stakeholders.
- Proven track record in conflict resolution and personnel management.
- Eligibility to obtain a Secret level security clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship and a successful government background check.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise search architecture and strategies across SharePoint, legacy systems, and modern platforms.
- Convert platform strategy and architecture into clear technical directions and implementation guidance throughout the entire SDLC.
- Oversee daily operations for SharePoint and enterprise search services, including roadmap planning, operational excellence, and ongoing enhancements.
- Direct and prioritize workload for IT personnel associated with SharePoint and search platforms, balancing daily operations with strategic objectives.
- Act as the principal escalation contact for service-area concerns, including Tier 3 support and major incidents affecting production.
- Organize and lead version upgrades, migrations, architectural modifications, and scheduled service downtimes.
- Track and respond to platform health, usage, performance, relevance, and reliability metrics.
- Develop and refine governance practices for SharePoint and search platforms, focusing on permissions, data retention, and compliance settings.
- Manage vendor partnerships and collaborate with procurement to assess vendors, oversee licensing, and navigate changing product models and costs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend needs, convey trade-offs, and shape solutions that harmonize usability, reliability, and long-term sustainability.
