Must:
I meet the minimum qualifications for the job if I have: - A Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related technical field. - Proven experience performing systems engineering in the design, development, or evaluation of complex weapon systems. - Strong skills in early concept development, requirements analysis, design, test and evaluation, and risk assessment. - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong critical thinking abilities. - Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with and lead diverse, multidisciplinary teams, including industry and government sponsors. - Willingness and ability to travel periodically, including short-duration visits to sponsor offices and supporting contractor sites, as well as occasional travel to other military bases across the country. - An active Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance, with eligibility requirements including U.S. citizenship. I’ll go above and beyond the minimum requirements if I have: - An advanced degree in systems engineering. - Experience in systems engineering for missile systems. - Knowledge of DoD acquisition processes, Navy Strategic Systems programs, and/or Air Force ICBM programs. - Familiarity with systems engineering software, especially model-based systems engineering tools like Magic Draw and DOORS. - Experience with new DoD program development, including concept development and Pre-Milestone A activities. - Knowledge of the Navy Trident II Strategic Weapon System and/or Air Force ICBM System. - An active Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Systems Engineer, my primary responsibility will be to provide systems engineering thought leadership and expertise focusing on requirements analysis, concept/technology development, risk assessments, and test & evaluation for strategic deterrent systems. I will utilize tools to analyze weapon system capabilities and assist in developing future weapon system requirements. Additionally, I will participate in design and requirements reviews. I will provide domain expertise while leading and coordinating research, studies, and analysis on current and future weapons system capabilities and performance, as well as supply supporting data and recommendations to advise program sponsors. I will also deliver formal presentations to sponsors and supporting contractors, effectively communicating proposed concepts, solutions, and analysis results. I will be responsible for producing reports that integrate concept definitions, requirements, analysis results, and technical recommendations.
