Requirements

Must:
- Hold a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. - Have over 5 years of experience in programming languages such as Python, C++, or comparable options. - Have previously executed software implementations based on requirements. - Possess the ability to quickly develop innovative solutions and assess their effectiveness. - Show a willingness to collaborate with a diverse team of scientists and engineers to address complex engineering problems. - Demonstrate project leadership experience. - Exhibit strong critical thinking capabilities. - Have excellent organizational skills. - Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, while working with team members, clients, and end users. - Be open to engaging with military personnel to understand their needs and preferences. - Be prepared to travel up to 5% of the time as necessary. - Have the capability to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance upon starting and ultimately secure a Secret level clearance. Eligibility includes U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

- Engage in the development of military planning tools including models and simulations, primarily utilizing Python and C++. Responsibilities involve object-oriented design, algorithm creation, implementation of algorithms from specifications, code optimization, software testing, and related documentation. - Perform research, evaluations, and analyses to furnish data and actionable insights for Department of Defense decision-makers. - Prepare and present formal technical briefings to sponsors and the engineering community. - Articulate proposed ideas/solutions and findings clearly. - Generate documentation that encapsulates concept definitions, requirements, analytical outcomes, and technical suggestions.
