Senior Ocean Systems Engineer

We expect you to meet our minimum qualifications if you possess: - A B.S. in Ocean Engineering, System Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience. - Over 7 years of relevant experience working on projects involving industrial or military undersea operations, sensors, and systems. - A passion for ocean engineering and tools for maritime system development, integration, evaluations, and technology analysis. - Experience in full lifecycle systems development, including the development and fielding of maritime systems. - Skills in concept design, implementation, and testing. - Demonstrated technical leadership and the ability to mentor others. - Strong organization and planning skills, with a record of accomplishment in a team environment. - Excellent interpersonal skills and outstanding written and oral communication skills. - Ability to take on leadership roles in an environment of contractors, government, and Navy personnel. - An active Secret-level security clearance by your start date and the ability to ultimately obtain a TS/SCI level clearance. You will be subject to a government security clearance investigation, and you must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship. You will go above and beyond our minimum qualifications if you have: - An M.S. or PhD degree in a technical or scientific discipline such as Ocean Engineering, System Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. - Over 10 years of proven experience in industrial or military undersea operations, sensors, and systems. - Experience as a principal investigator for science and technology efforts. - Experience working in a highly technical research environment. - Experience with maritime systems design and integration. - A current TS/SCI clearance.
