Requirements
Must:
- Hold a B.S. degree in a technical or scientific discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Possess over 5 years of relevant experience in maritime systems or a closely related area.
- Demonstrate familiarity with engineering prototyping development processes and their implementation.
- Exhibit strong organizational and planning abilities, with a successful track record in team settings.
- Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to collaborate effectively within government infrastructure and assume leadership roles in contractor and government team environments.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with the potential to secure a TS/SCI + polygraph clearance, with eligibility requiring U.S. citizenship.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance of all projects within the Maritime ISR portfolio with engineering development protocols from inception to deployment, aligned with APLs Quality Management Process.
- Drive the collection, analysis, documentation, and oversight of system requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Create and oversee System Requirements Documents and Requirements Traceability Verification Matrix documentation.
- Engage in all design and testing reviews.
- Assist in risk assessments and their ongoing monitoring.
- Collaborate actively on project teams, interfacing with internal leadership (e.g., PM, PjMs, Task Leads, and Chief Engineer) as well as external sponsors.
- Formulate and implement testing strategies for systems during developmental and operational phases to ensure deliverables meet essential requirements.
- Work alongside end users to establish operational and maintenance procedures that support the entire system life cycle.
- Aid in the development of test plans and coordination of resources, with the opportunity to serve as Test Director.
