Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. - Over 5 years of senior-level system administration experience in classified environments. - Familiarity with ITIL or project management methodologies in IT operations. - Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities. - Current or able to obtain IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE). - Active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

- Serve as the primary Tier 3/4 liaison for intricate system administration challenges related to virtualization platforms, HPC clusters, cross-domain integrations, and multi-site secured networks. - Design, implement, and sustain robust technical solutions that comply with regulatory security standards. - Lead intricate problem-solving sessions, identify root causes, and remediate critical incidents to ensure high availability and performance. - Automate build, configuration, and compliance tasks utilizing scripting or infrastructure as code where applicable. - Create and maintain comprehensive user documentation, runbooks, and lifecycle management plans. - Oversee, mentor, and develop a small team of systems administrators, cultivating an inclusive, high-performance atmosphere. - Manage staff assignments, ensuring a positive work-life balance and hiring when necessary. - Employ ITIL-aligned service management and effective project management practices to prioritize tasks, handle backlogs, and achieve service level goals. - Coordinate technology roadmaps and major upgrades, carefully balancing operational risks with mission requirements. - Convey complex technical and service information to sponsors, users, and senior management in clear, actionable terms. - Promote continuous improvement by encouraging innovation, recognizing noble failures, and enhancing processes based on accumulated insights.
