Responsibilities
As a Model Based Systems Engineer, my primary responsibility is to provide systems engineering and MBSE thought leadership and expertise for the development and evaluation of complex strategic deterrent systems and their supporting infrastructure. I will work collaboratively with an advanced team to develop and implement system models that support the development and integration of new strategic deterrent systems, as well as the modernization and sustainment of existing systems.
Additionally, my role will involve conceptualizing, designing, and developing new digital engineering capabilities and processes that will act as force multipliers for our organization and our sponsors. I will apply my systems engineering expertise across various areas, including requirements analysis, concept/technology development, architecture analysis, risk assessments, and test & evaluation for strategic deterrent systems.
I will also deliver formal presentations to sponsors and supporting contractors, effectively communicating proposed concepts/solutions and analysis results. Furthermore, I will develop model profiles, tool plug-ins, architecture frameworks, and model queries in the MBSE tools that capture and analyze models throughout their lifecycle from concept definition to fielding and support. Ultimately, I will help define model-based design review requirements and update the systems engineering process to incorporate advanced MBSE techniques.
