Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related fields. - Proficient in programming languages such as MATLAB, C++, C, Python, Java, or similar. - Minimum of 3 years of experience with DoD Command and Control systems. - Active Top Secret security clearance, with required eligibility for classified information access, including U.S. citizenship. - Working knowledge of configuration management tools is a plus. - Familiarity with Navy, Missile Defense Agency, or Air Force Command and Control systems is advantageous. - Final Top Secret SCI clearance is a bonus.

Responsibilities

- Conducting research and development initiatives to identify and address deficiencies in U.S. defense systems. - Implementing innovative algorithms that enhance the capabilities of our nations defense strategies. - Creating advanced Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions for intricate challenges. - Designing novel data fusion, object tracking, and discrimination enhancements for distributed defense frameworks. - Utilizing contemporary programming languages to devise and evaluate technical solutions. - Developing prototypes and collaborating with real-world systems to transition concepts into operational systems. - Assessing contractor algorithm implementations against governmental performance standards. - Clearly presenting technical proposals to APL leadership, government sponsors, and the engineering community. - Contributing to a vibrant team culture that values collaborative efforts and commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and calculated risk-taking.
