Must:
I am seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications: - A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field, or 10 years of relevant professional experience. - At least 7 years of practical experience with advanced networking technologies in an enterprise or research setting. - A minimum of 3 years in a technical leadership position, focusing on the architecture and management of complex network environments. - Proficiency in utilizing automation and orchestration tools for the construction, configuration, provisioning, and administration of network infrastructure. - Familiarity with software-defined networking (SDN) platforms such as Cisco ACI, VMware NSX, or comparable technologies in an operational context. - A solid grasp of networking protocols and architectures, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network security protocols. - Proven experience in leading and motivating a team to deliver results and uphold high standards of quality. - Knowledge of security and regulatory compliance requirements related to networking, such as NIST RMF, NIST SP 800-53, or DoD 8570/8140. - A demonstrated ability to communicate and present technical information effectively to a diverse audience. - Strong problem-solving capabilities with the ability to conduct research and leverage external resources independently. - A thorough understanding of network security principles, including firewall configurations, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPN technologies. - Hold a Top Secret-level security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the criteria for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship. You will exceed our minimum expectations if you have: - A Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field, showcasing a higher level of expertise and dedication to the discipline. - Advanced experience with high-performance networking technologies, such as InfiniBand or sophisticated Ethernet configurations, highlighting a comprehensive understanding of optimizing network performance for research applications. - Skills in network virtualization technologies, including VMware NSX or Cisco Nexus virtual switches. - Proficiency in enterprise network automation and monitoring tools, such as Ansible, Puppet, SolarWinds, or similar platforms, demonstrating your capability to enhance operational efficacy and proactive network management. - Practical integration experience with leading cloud providers, like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, reflecting a wide-ranging competence in cloud networking environments and hybrid configurations. - Expertise in cloud networking management tools like CloudBolt or Kion (formerly CloudTamer), indicating your ability to streamline cloud infrastructure management and implement effective cloud governance strategies. - Certifications such as Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), Juniper Networks Certified Internet Expert (JNCIE), or equivalent advanced networking certifications.
