Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience. - 3-5 years of practical experience in cybersecurity or data science, specifically in anomaly detection with EDRs, packet captures, malware analysis sandboxes, SIEM/SOAR toolsets, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, SQL). - Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for on-call duties and incident response. - Eligibility to obtain a Secret level security clearance; this requires U.S. citizenship and is subject to a security investigation. - Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Security Assurance, or a related field is preferable. - Familiarity with Assume Breach methodologies and investigating advanced attacker tactics in intricate environments is advantageous. - Experience with statistical analysis, data science techniques, LLMs, or using agentic systems to identify anomalies and enhance DCO capabilities.

Responsibilities

- Analyze and correlate log sources, device telemetry, and security tool data to track APT actor activity and investigate signs of compromise. - Create detection and prevention measures based on threat intelligence and observed activities. - Examine incidents by recognizing compromise activities through analysis of device images, artifacts, logs, and network traffic. - Contribute to the refinement of detection strategies, capabilities, and procedures. - Enhance your skills through ongoing training, practice, and studying the latest cybersecurity trends.
