Must:
We seek candidates who possess the following minimum qualifications: - A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline. - Over 7 years of experience managing specialized Windows environments and at least 3 years working with Linux systems. - Proficiency in virtualization and storage technologies (NetAPP, VMware, Hyper-V), along with experience in system security hardening and applying STIGs to both operating systems and applications. - Practical knowledge of security tools (e.g., Splunk, Tenable/ACAS, McAfee, Ivanti). - Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills that allow effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical personnel. - An active Top Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance. Selected candidates will undergo a government security clearance investigation and must satisfy the criteria for access to classified information, which includes U.S. citizenship. Candidates who exceed our minimum requirements will have: - A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related area. - Professional certifications such as CISSP, Security+, MCSA/MCSE, or Linux certifications (RHCSA/RHCE). - Expertise in scripting or automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible). - Experience managing SAN or NetApp storage systems. - Familiarity with endpoint protection solutions and manual configuration of advanced physical and virtualized system environments. - Knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) or other specialized compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

As a Tier 3 Systems Administrator, your primary duties will involve managing intricate, non-enterprise IT systems while providing specialized technical expertise tailored to the project's and program's needs. Key responsibilities include: - Delivering advanced system administration for customized Windows and Linux environments, encompassing OS installation, configuration, hardening, and optimization. - Designing, implementing, and maintaining tailored technical solutions (NetAPP, VMware, Hyper-V, Slurm) that align with specific project requirements. - Leading complex troubleshooting efforts, performing root-cause analysis, and resolving advanced software, hardware, and network issues. - Enforcing security policies, conducting vulnerability assessments, applying system patches, and maintaining a strong cybersecurity stance in accordance with compliance standards. - Collaborating with cybersecurity, engineering, and project management teams to enhance infrastructure performance, resilience, and compliance. - Mentoring junior staff by offering technical guidance and insights into best practices in systems administration and cybersecurity. - Producing thorough documentation such as system configuration documents and contributing to Security Controls Traceability Matrices and System Security Plans.
