Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a technical or scientific field such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of two years of experience utilizing AFSIM for modeling, simulation, and analysis.
- Experience in conducting statistical analysis to identify trends and draw conclusions.
- Highly skilled at acquiring knowledge in new and challenging subjects.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative environment and communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient or fluent in programming or scripting languages such as MATLAB or Python.
- Capability to obtain the necessary Special Access Program (SAP) level access.
- Eligible to secure an Interim Secret level security clearance by the start date and ultimately a Top Secret level clearance, with U.S. citizenship required.
Responsibilities
- Develop models and perform analysis on sensor, tracker, communication, and weapon systems for mission-level simulations using AFSIM to extract valuable insights, inform conclusions, and support decision-making.
- Conduct statistical analyses to identify trends, evaluate risks, and document uncertainties in simulation outputs.
- Collaborate with the software development team to enhance our custom tools, including designing efficient data representations for large datasets and automating production analysis workflows.
- Work closely with a small team, mentoring junior analysts and collaborating with senior engineers to guide project directions.
- Engage in independent research initiatives that promote innovative solutions and encourage self-driven initiative.
- Present findings through briefings to both technical specialists and key decision-makers.
