Requirements
Must:
- PhD (strongly preferred) or Masters degree in Data Science, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Over 12 years of professional experience in data science, with a minimum of 8 years in the Biotech, Pharma, or Healthcare industries.
- Expert proficiency in Python or R; extensive experience with SQL, Spark, and cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Strong understanding of the drug development lifecycle and clinical trial data standards (CDISC/SDTM/ADaM).
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare ontologies such as OMOP, FHIR, and ICD-10.
- Mastery in longitudinal data analysis, survival analysis, Bayesian statistics, and high-dimensional data visualization.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical visionary and strategic partner within the Product Development Data Sciences team.
- Lead the design and implementation of advanced analytical solutions to convert complex biological, clinical, and real-world data into actionable insights.
- Act as a thought leader in establishing the strategic roadmap for data science capabilities.
- Collaborate with clinical, medical, and commercial leaders to develop comprehensive analytical frameworks for scientific inquiries.
- Spearhead the creation of predictive models leveraging machine learning, deep learning, and causal inference to enhance patient recruitment and identify novel biomarkers.
- Oversee the integration and productization of various data sources, ensuring compliance with FAIR principles.
- Guide teams in navigating the regulatory landscape concerning AI/ML-based evidence while ensuring adherence to GCP, HIPAA, and GDPR standards.
- Mentor and lead a global team of data scientists and engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
