Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- Over 5 years of experience in tooling design and development in a manufacturing context
- Proficient in AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and machinery
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Capable of managing multiple projects at once while adhering to deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in a manufacturing environment
- Self-driven with a focus on achieving results
Responsibilities
- Design and engineer tooling, fixtures, and equipment for manufacturing processes utilizing AutoCAD
- Work in conjunction with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and design, to develop tooling solutions that enhance efficiency, quality, and safety
- Perform feasibility studies on tooling and present outcomes to management
- Spearhead initiatives for tooling improvement, focusing on cost reduction and process enhancements
- Regularly inspect tooling and equipment to ensure optimal function and adherence to safety standards
- Diagnose tooling issues and implement effective resolutions
- Provide technical assistance and training to production personnel regarding tooling and equipment usage
- Keep abreast of the latest tooling technologies, innovations, and industry best practices
- Create and sustain tooling documentation, encompassing design specifications, manuals, and maintenance logs
