Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; a Masters degree or CPA certification is preferable.
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior tax position, demonstrating a history of supervising and mentoring staff.
- Proficient knowledge of tax accounting, compliance, and associated issues.
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, capable of interpreting complex financial information.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, effective in interacting with clients, auditors, and tax authorities.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines.
- Proficient in relevant tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Dedicated to delivering exceptional professional and client service.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting business demands.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the tax department, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tasks.
- Offer expert tax planning guidance to clients, assisting them in reducing their tax obligations while ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
- Design and execute tax strategies that support our organizational goals.
- Educate, mentor, and develop junior team members, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Supervise the preparation and examination of tax returns, guaranteeing accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax agencies as needed.
- Remain informed about updates in tax legislation to maintain compliance for our firm and clients.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure integrated financial management.
