Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of IT administration experience, ideally within a professional services or engineering setting.
- Strong competency in managing Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server, and Windows Server environments.
- Preferred qualifications include Microsoft certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator.
- Familiarity with engineering and GIS applications (like Bentley OpenRoads Designer, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, QGIS) is an advantage.
- Experience with coding in Python and R is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the management and upkeep of Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server, and Windows Server systems in an on-site configuration.
- Continuously monitor system efficiency, backups, updates, and data protection.
- Provide support and resolve issues related to networking, firewalls, and VPN setups.
- Establish and uphold cybersecurity measures and disaster recovery strategies.
- Oversee user accounts, access permissions, and licensing.
- Collaborate with management and external partners to ensure dependable IT operations across all locations.
- Assess new technologies to improve system dependability, scalability, and security.
