Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is highly preferred.
- Over 5 years of experience in server and network administration.
- Demonstrated experience in network capacity planning, security principles, and management best practices.
- In-depth technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and internet standards.
- Strong expertise with Windows Servers, VMware, Active Directory, DNS, VPN, disaster recovery planning, and networking hardware from Cisco Meraki and Ubiquiti.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for hardware issues.
- Proficient in using testing tools and network analyzers.
- Strong interpersonal capabilities to collaborate with team members and senior support staff.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills to train junior colleagues.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving competencies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Experience in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to be on call or work outside traditional hours for critical events.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support our companys LAN, WAN, network segments, and internet systems.
- Manage network hardware and software, including servers, peripherals, and terminals.
- Assess and recommend purchases of computers, network devices, and software.
- Investigate, propose, and install enhancements and procedures to optimize network performance.
- Oversee and maintain Windows Servers and Active Directory environments.
- Provide systems support for hardware and software, troubleshoot issues, and implement resolutions.
- Interpret technical manuals, consult with users, conduct diagnostics, and deliver strategic solutions.
- Ensure reliable network connectivity in the companys LAN/WAN infrastructure.
- Maintain and manage computing environments, including hardware, software applications, and configurations.
- Plan and enforce network security measures, including firewalls, permissions, backup, and disaster recovery protocols.
- Train and mentor junior staff and colleagues on new technologies and systems.
