Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is mandatory.
- Previous experience in leading or managing structural engineering teams or projects.
- In-depth understanding of relevant structural design codes and standards, including those for steel, concrete, and general construction.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering structural design solutions for industrial or manufacturing facilities.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software typically used in industrial engineering.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational abilities with a capacity to balance technical and managerial duties.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership for the structural engineering team, including engineers, designers, and drafting personnel.
- Supervise structural design and analysis for various industrial and commercial projects, which include steel and concrete structures, foundations, buildings, and support systems.
- Act as a technical authority to ensure quality, accuracy, and uniformity in all department outputs.
- Collaborate closely with project management and other engineering fields to achieve project objectives regarding scope, schedule, and budget.
- Devise staffing strategies, allocate technical resources, and assist in professional development and mentorship initiatives.
- Establish, uphold, and continually enhance department standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Cultivate trusted client relationships through technical expertise, responsiveness, and clear communication.
- Engage in business development efforts such as proposal creation, technical scoping, and estimating support.
