Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (mandatory)
- CPA certification is a must
- 7 to 10 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting/finance, with a minimum of 3 years in a Controller or leadership capacity
- Relevant expertise in medical imaging, healthcare, or SaaS/technology highly desirable
- In-depth understanding of U.S. GAAP and compliance standards
- Proficient in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Experience in multi-currency consolidations
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills capable of fostering teamwork across departments
- Must reside locally and show capability for reliable commuting to our Newton, MA office in a hybrid setting
Responsibilities
- Lead all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management
- Prepare precise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP and regulatory obligations
- Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities
- Oversee external audits and coordinate with auditors
- Collaborate with leadership to deliver actionable financial insights
- Initiate process enhancements to optimize reporting and controls
- Support the financial considerations of contracts, grants, and vendor agreements
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff members
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic initiatives
