Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (mandatory)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification required
- 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, with a minimum of 3 years in a Controller or leadership capacity
- Background in medical imaging, healthcare, or SaaS/technology is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and compliance regulations
- Experience with QuickBooks or comparable accounting software
- Familiarity with multi-currency consolidations
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong interpersonal communication skills for cross-team collaboration
- Must be a local resident with reliable commute to our Newton, MA office on a hybrid schedule
- Prior experience in a startup or rapidly scaling environment is a plus
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Professional demeanor with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP and regulatory standards
- Manage cash flow, and handle budgeting and forecasting tasks
- Supervise external audits and maintain communication with auditors
- Collaborate with leadership to provide insightful financial analysis
- Drive enhancements to streamline reporting and internal controls
- Assist with financial aspects of contracts, grants, and vendor agreements
- Mentor and guide accounting staff
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic initiatives
