Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 5 years in project management within the commercial construction sector, particularly with K-12 and DSA-regulated projects.
- Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a similar field preferred but not mandatory.
- In-depth knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, contract management, and project documentation.
- Familiarity with construction management software tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project).
- Strong problem-solving abilities along with exceptional leadership and organizational skills.
- Awareness of DSA procedures, local building codes, permitting, and OSHA safety compliance.
- Preferred: Experience with ground-up, modernization, and tenant improvement projects in educational facilities.
- Preferred: Established professional relationships with subcontractors and industry experts in public works and education construction.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all phases of DSA and K-12 construction projects, from initial planning to final closeout.
- Create and monitor project budgets, schedules, and timelines for on-time completion.
- Collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, school districts, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage contract negotiations, procurement, and vendor relationships for operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with DSA standards, quality benchmarks, safety regulations, and school district requisites for all projects.
- Identify and proactively address potential risks, delays, and cost overruns.
- Lead and guide project teams while promoting collaboration and effective communication.
