Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management for commercial construction, especially in K-12 and DSA-regulated projects.
- Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or relevant field preferred, but not mandatory.
- Strong expertise in budget management, project scheduling, contract oversight, and documentation.
- Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or Microsoft Project.
- Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with DSA protocols, local building codes, permitting, and OSHA safety standards.
- Experience in managing new construction, modernization, and tenant improvement projects for educational institutions is advantageous.
- Established connections with subcontractors and industry professionals in public works and education construction.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all phases of DSA and K-12 construction projects from the planning stage through to project completion.
- Create and monitor project budgets, schedules, and deadlines to ensure timely project delivery.
- Collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, school districts, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Manage contract negotiations, procurement, and vendor relations to uphold efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure all projects adhere to DSA compliance, quality benchmarks, safety regulations, and school district criteria.
- Identify potential risks, delays, and financial overruns proactively and implement mitigation strategies.
- Lead and guide project teams, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
