Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management focusing on K-12 and DSA-regulated projects.
- Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a relevant field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Comprehensive understanding of scheduling, budgeting, contract management, and project documentation.
- Proficient in construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or Microsoft Project.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with DSA regulations, local building codes, permitting, and OSHA safety compliance.
- Experience in managing new construction, modernization, and tenant improvement projects for educational facilities is preferred.
- Established relationships with subcontractors and professionals in public works and educational construction are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all stages of DSA and K-12 construction projects from initial planning to final closeout.
- Create and monitor project budgets, schedules, and timelines to achieve on-time completions.
- Collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, school districts, and subcontractors for seamless project execution.
- Handle contract negotiations, procurement, and vendor management to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with DSA regulations, quality standards, safety protocols, and school district requirements for all projects.
- Actively identify and address potential risks, delays, and budget overruns.
- Lead and mentor project teams, encouraging collaboration and effective communication.
