Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 5 years in commercial construction project management, particularly with K-12 and DSA-regulated projects.
- Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related discipline (preferred but not obligatory).
- Extensive understanding of scheduling, budgeting, contract management, and project documentation.
- Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project).
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of DSA processes, local building regulations, permitting, and OSHA safety compliance.
- Preferred: Experience in managing ground-up, modernization, and tenant improvement projects for educational institutions.
- Preferred: Established relationships with subcontractors and industry professionals in public works and educational construction.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all stages of DSA and K-12 construction projects from inception to completion.
- Create and monitor project budgets, schedules, and timelines to guarantee timely project delivery.
- Collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, school districts, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project operations.
- Supervise contract negotiations, procurement, and vendor management to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure that all projects adhere to DSA compliance, quality benchmarks, safety guidelines, and school district standards.
- Actively identify and resolve potential risks, delays, and budget overruns.
- Lead and mentor project teams, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
