Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing commercial construction projects, particularly in K-12 and DSA-regulated sectors.
- Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related discipline (preferred but not mandatory).
- In-depth knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, and project documentation.
- Proficient in construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or Microsoft Project.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with DSA processes, local building regulations, permitting requirements, and OSHA safety standards.
- Experience managing ground-up, modernization, and tenant improvement projects for educational institutions (preferred).
- Established relationships with subcontractors and industry professionals in the public works and education sectors (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all stages of DSA and K-12 construction projects, from inception to completion.
- Create and monitor project budgets, schedules, and timelines to guarantee timely project delivery.
- Collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, school districts, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of projects.
- Supervise contract negotiations, procurement processes, and vendor relations to uphold efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with DSA standards, quality expectations, safety regulations, and school district criteria across all projects.
- Actively identify and address potential risks, delays, and budget overruns.
- Lead and mentor project teams, promoting a culture of collaboration and open communication.
