Requirements
Must:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Active admission to the state bar in good standing.
- At least 5 years of experience in civil litigation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
- Strong capabilities in legal research and writing.
- Proficient negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with clients and legal professionals.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Familiarity with legal research tools and software.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all stages of civil litigation from inception to trial, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and preparing pre-trial motions and briefs.
- Represent clients in courtroom proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Offer legal counsel to clients, advising on potential litigation risks and strategies.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support preparation and strategy for cases.
- Work alongside a team of attorneys and paralegals to ensure efficient case management.
- Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and legal developments.
- Foster client relationships by providing ongoing updates and addressing their needs.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients when suitable.
