Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in tax preparation or review at a public accounting or professional services firm.
- Proficient in reviewing Federal and State Income Tax Returns for both corporate and individual clients, including multi-state returns.
- Strong tax research skills applicable to corporate and individual clients.
- Exceptional project management, analytical, and interpersonal skills along with proficiency in verbal and written communication.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a team and engage with professionals across various levels.
- A strong focus on providing superior client service.
- Capable of supervising senior staff and managing multiple client engagements simultaneously.
- Excellent leadership, training, and mentoring skills.
- Proficient in general office software with the ability to quickly learn new applications.
- Bachelors degree in accounting, with a Masters in accounting preferred.
- Active CPA license in good standing.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns for diverse clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct tax research to address client-specific queries and needs.
- Manage multiple client engagements concurrently, ensuring timely delivery of services.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff and seniors to enhance their professional development.
- Collaborate with team members to foster a productive and supportive work environment.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients to address inquiries and provide updates on tax matters.
- Lead projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and assess the impact on clients tax strategies.
