Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Over 5 years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Established expertise in SQA, Linux, Embedded Software, Kernel, Test, Validation, User Interface, SDET, or similar areas.
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and procedures.
- Familiarity with automated testing tools.
- Proficient in scripting languages like Python or Perl.
- Proven experience in supervising and directing a team of SQA engineers.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication skills to convey technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with performance testing, security testing, and usability testing is a valuable addition.
Responsibilities
- Mentor and guide a team of SQA engineers to assure software product quality.
- Design, develop, and implement software tests to detect software defects.
- Collaborate with the software development team to grasp product specifications and devise relevant test strategies.
- Establish and uphold quality metrics to showcase the health of each software release.
- Initiate continuous improvement projects to boost the testing processs effectiveness and efficiency.
- Conduct root cause analysis of defects and enforce corrective measures.
- Ensure adherence to quality assurance protocols and methodologies.
- Oversee the validation of user interfaces and provide constructive feedback to development teams.
- Assist in the creation of automated test frameworks and tools.
