Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in vulnerability analysis, incident response, or a related area
- Preferred professional certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, or GCIH
- Proficient in utilizing vulnerability assessment tools like Nessus, Rapid7, and Crowdstrike
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity standards and frameworks including NIST, ISO, and PCI
- Experience with scripting languages such as Powershell, Python, and Bash
- Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP
- In-depth knowledge of the CVE Database and CVSS scoring system
- Understanding of OWASP Top 10 and other methodologies for vulnerability categorization
- Experience with endpoint security and patch management processes
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to thrive in a high-paced environment
- Strong communication abilities and capability to collaborate with diverse teams
- Genuine passion for cybersecurity and a commitment to staying informed on emerging trends and threats
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough vulnerability assessments using tools like Nessus, Rapid7, and Crowdstrike to pinpoint potential security threats
- Engage in incident response tasks, including investigating security breaches and implementing corrective measures
- Regularly maintain and update the CVE Database for accurate tracking of known vulnerabilities
- Utilize methodologies such as OWASP Top 10 and CVSS to prioritize and classify vulnerabilities
- Develop and manage patch processes to mitigate identified vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure adherence to NIST, ISO, and PCI standards
- Create and enhance scripts using Powershell, Python, and Bash to automate routine tasks
- Offer expert advice on endpoint security and suggest areas for improvement
- Keep abreast of the latest security trends, threats, and effective countermeasures
- Utilize cloud services such as AWS, Azure, and GCP to deploy and manage security solutions
- Provide training and mentorship to junior team members and other stakeholders on cybersecurity best practices
