Requirements
Must:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law institution
- Active member of the State Bar of California
- 2-7 years of experience in employment law, including litigation and counseling
- Proficiency in representing employers in administrative processes, including demand letters and depositions
- Excellent research and writing abilities, capable of simplifying intricate legal concepts
- Knowledge of California labor laws and regulations such as wage and hour laws and FEHA compliance
- Strong organizational skills, able to handle multiple cases and meet deadlines
- Comfortable engaging directly with clients and providing advisory services and training
- Proactive and solutions-focused mindset, effective in a collaborative team setting
Responsibilities
- Provide legal representation for employers in various administrative claims and litigation
- Develop and implement workplace policies and agreements
- Deliver compliance training to clients
- Offer strategic legal advice aimed at minimizing risk and enhancing organizational culture
- Engage directly with clients to build trusted advisor relationships
- Conduct thorough legal research and draft necessary documentation
- Maintain a detail-oriented approach in managing multiple client matters
- Work collaboratively with team members to support client needs
