Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
- At least 3 years of engineering experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing setting
- Basic knowledge of statistics
- Familiarity with Vision Systems and Surface Monitoring Systems
- Proven expertise in Industrial controls and programming languages (PLCs, C++, Python, Java, etc)
Responsibilities
- Offer support and guidance to the Rolling manufacturing and process areas
- Spearhead process enhancements on Rolling mills to optimize equipment performance, product yield, and assist in product development
- Aid in product development by analyzing and modifying rolling models/processes for new products
- Support the operation and maintenance of Vision Systems, Measuring Systems, and Surface Quality Monitoring Systems on Rolling equipment and oversee installation and commissioning of new systems
- Provide leadership in failure analysis; participate in problem-solving teams, identify root causes, and propose solutions while coordinating support from various resources
- Utilize technical expertise to provide advanced guidance on equipment and its impact on utilization, processes, and product quality
- Develop technical resolutions for recurring design, process, and application issues
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders (corporate technical teams, leadership, production, quality, and maintenance) and external suppliers to address process improvement needs
