Senior Sales Engineer

- Offer technical guidance to representatives regarding the correct application of products - Assist engineers, contractors, and representatives with product sizing and application support - Provide representatives with appropriate options and accessory selections based on application needs - Generate quotes, both preliminary and detailed, for selected products - Oversee the selection of special features and options to ensure optimal performance and profitability - Collaborate with the Engineering team to prepare and adjust customer submittals - Enter orders and serve as a liaison between the factory and representatives, providing updates on: - Order status - Credit paperwork status - Order pricing accuracy - Accuracy of the submittal package - Act as a bridge between representatives and management by sharing insights on: - Market trends - Field challenges - Representative sentiments - Competitive landscape - Quotation success rates - Mentor and train junior team members or directly supervise staff as needed - Create solutions for unique and intricate applications - Address field issues requiring in-depth expertise, possibly involving travel - Contribute to the design and functionality of selection software tools - Engage in HVAC industry standards committees and events - Provide recommendations for product features, options, and marketing strategies based on market and customer feedback - Establish a reputation as a subject matter expert through successful interactions with clients - Adhere to Quality and Environmental Management System policies and objectives - Execute other relevant duties as assigned
