Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Quality, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
- Proficient in reading and interpreting intricate engineering drawings and technical specifications
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification is highly desirable
- Experience with military specifications is preferred
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the creation, execution, and ongoing revision of the Quality Manual, procedures, and work instructions aligned with ISO 9001 standards
- Oversee the internal audit program as the lead auditor and act as the key point of contact for external certification bodies and regulatory agencies during inspections
- Conduct root cause analyses and collaborate with production and engineering to devise and enforce corrective action plans addressing customer issues and non-conformances
- Foster a culture centered on continuous improvement
- Evaluate supplier performance and perform assessments and audits to guarantee incoming materials meet specification requirements
- Supervise a small team of 2-3 inspectors
