Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in automotive manufacturing
- Minimum of 5 years in inventory control, operations, or materials management
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity
- In-depth knowledge of shipping and receiving operations in a high-volume automotive setting
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Epicor experience preferred)
- Strong organizational abilities coupled with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Capacity to motivate and manage an overnight team and adjust to shifting priorities
- Lift truck license is preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee overnight shipping and receiving functions, ensuring precision, efficiency, and timely delivery to automotive clients
- Utilize Epicor ERP for managing incoming and outgoing orders, transfers, and inventory management
- Supervise and mentor a night-shift team of 20, providing coaching, feedback, and managing performance
- Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and reporting for both customer and supplier shipments
- Collaborate with Materials, Production, and Quality teams to swiftly resolve logistics challenges
- Ensure adherence to IATF16949 and ISO14001 standards
- Propel continuous improvement initiatives in logistics, safety, and operational efficiency
- Uphold strict compliance with 5S and workplace organization protocols
- Serve as a principal contact for escalated logistics matters with customers
