Requirements
Must:
- Automotive manufacturing experience is essential.
- Minimum of 5 years in inventory control, operations, or materials management.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Proficient understanding of shipping and receiving procedures in a high-volume automotive environment.
- ERP proficiency, particularly with Epicor, is highly regarded.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and leadership capabilities.
- Ability to lead and inspire an overnight team while adapting to shifting priorities.
- Lift truck license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee overnight shipping and receiving operations, assuring precision, efficiency, and timely delivery to automotive customers.
- Utilize Epicor ERP for managing incoming/outgoing orders, transfers, and inventory oversight.
- Supervise and mentor a night-shift team of 20, offering coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.
- Manage labeling, documentation, and reporting for customer and supplier shipments.
- Collaborate with Materials, Production, and Quality teams to swiftly address logistics issues.
- Ensure adherence to IATF16949 and ISO14001 standards.
- Initiate continuous improvement efforts in logistics, safety, and operational performance.
- Uphold strict 5S and workplace organization principles.
- Serve as a primary contact for escalated logistics issues with customers.
