Requirements
Must:
- Over 6 years of relevant experience in security and system administration
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field is required
- Preferred security certifications from recognized organizations (GIAC, ISC2, CompTIA) such as CISSP, SSCP, CCSP, GCIH, CEH
- Microsoft Cloud Certifications including Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate and Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert
- Experience with administering Windows and Linux servers or network systems (Arista, Cisco, HP)
- Knowledge of security technologies, including firewalls (Fortinet), IDS/IPS, web application firewalls, and vulnerability scanning tools
- Familiarity with SQL access, Active Directory, and operating system security
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, M365 cloud security, and InTune
- Experience with SIEM systems like SumoLogic or Splunk
- Capability to decipher log/packet captures and identify various attack signatures, such as SQL injections and cross-site scripting
Responsibilities
- Select, design, configure, and administer security controls while monitoring system reliability, performance, and availability
- Contribute to IT and Information Security risk assessment documentation by leveraging knowledge of relevant risks and controls
- Participate in the research and development of security technologies aimed at assessing, monitoring, and mitigating vulnerabilities for the organization
- Automate security tasks and perform data analysis through the use of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell)
- Maintain accurate documentation of work activities in activity logs, reports, and various management systems
- Document system design and configuration, ensuring compliance with business writing standards
- Adhere to Change Management protocols to minimize production disruptions while exercising sound judgment
