Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in embedded software engineering
- Strong expertise in embedded Linux, particularly in kernel-level debugging
- Demonstrated proficiency with:
- Interrupts, DMA, and memory-mapped I/O
- Multithreading, synchronization, and real-time constraints
- Device driver creation
- Advanced debugging abilities utilizing both software and hardware solutions
- High-level skills in:
- C/C++ for embedded systems (bare metal and RTOS)
- Git version control and CI/CD methodologies
- Familiarity with RF communication protocols (e.g., Lora, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE/5G, proprietary modulations)
- Experience in ISO 9001 or similarly regulated development environments is a plus
- Availability to travel to Mankato, MN at least 3 days a week
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance embedded software for our innovative engineering projects
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of embedded systems
- Conduct thorough debugging and testing of software to guarantee high performance and reliability
- Create and maintain documentation for software design and development processes
- Participate in code reviews to ensure high standards and knowledge sharing within the team
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their professional growth
- Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to continually advance our solutions
