Requirements
Must:
- Over 7 years of experience developing production systems in Python
- Extensive knowledge in designing, scaling, and managing pub/sub or event-driven architectures
- Proficiency in AWS-native stacks, particularly: Lambda, SQS, Kinesis, EventBridge, SNS
- Familiarity with DLQs, batching, retries, backoff strategies, and alarm configurations
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform
- Background in developing resilient multi-tenant systems focused on observability and fault isolation
- Willingness to temporarily work with Ruby/Rails and assist in transitioning to Python-based infrastructure as the business grows
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage technical projects from architectural conception to final delivery
- Develop scalable, fault-tolerant services on AWS (including Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, etc.)
- Refactor existing code to enhance long-term clarity, testability, and scalability
- Convert customer and product insights into effective workflow automation
- Take part in the on-call rotation to maintain uptime and system reliability
- Contribute to shaping the team culture through mentoring and sharing feedback
