Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil design engineering
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other pertinent design software
- Extensive experience in civil infrastructure design and construction document preparation
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and legal regulations
- Excellent mathematical, design, and engineering capabilities
- Strong project management skills
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and meet tight deadlines
- EIT certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D to design, plan, and oversee construction projects to meet necessary standards and specifications
- Conduct detailed designs for civil infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and water and wastewater systems
- Prepare and manage construction documents, including plans, cost estimates, and specifications
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to achieve project objectives
- Perform site inspections and analyze data such as maps, reports, tests, and drawings for effective project design
- Ensure compliance of project designs with regulatory and quality standards
- Conduct risk assessments and propose solutions for technical challenges
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress
- Continually enhance technical knowledge and skills through learning opportunities
