Requirements
Must:
- Over 10 years of legal billing experience in a law firm with 50+ attorneys
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership or managerial billing role
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field
- Practical experience with various e-billing systems such as Bottomline, Ascent, Collaborati, Quovant, CounselLink, TyMetrix360
- Proficient in advanced Excel and data analysis techniques (including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.)
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all billing operations for the firm, supervising a team of 10 billing professionals
- Guarantee timely and accurate billing that adheres to client requirements and firm policies
- Develop and sustain efficient billing practices, standard operating procedures, and process enhancements
- Collaborate with attorneys, finance teams, and clients to facilitate smooth billing and collection processes
- Prepare and present financial and billing reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
- Act as the subject matter authority on various e-billing platforms including CounselLink, TyMetrix360, and more
- Manage audits, budgets, and reconciliations related to billing processes
- Train, mentor, and evaluate members of the billing team
