Requirements
Must:
- Welding certificate, technical degree, or equivalent experience
- Experience with robotic weld cell operation
- Robotic weld programming experience, preferably with ABB
- Familiarity with robotic and/or automated equipment programming
- Understanding of PLC programming, preferred with ABB
- Experience in tank manufacturing, heavy fabrication, sheet metal, forming, cut to length, or press brake operations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, or other 3D CAD software is a plus
- Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and dependable attendance
- Critical thinking and logical troubleshooting capabilities
- Effective time management skills
- Mechanical aptitude with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently when necessary
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and optimize robotic welding programs in a manufacturing environment
- Read and interpret drawings and work instructions to generate programs
- Assist in tooling and fixture setup and conduct basic testing
- Make minor mechanical or programming adjustments as directed
- Verify engineering information and report discrepancies to management
- Inform management of quality issues, delays, or equipment concerns
- Collaborate with team members to address daily production requirements
- Adhere to safety guidelines and standard operating procedures
- Adapt to changing tasks based on manufacturing needs
- Meet production deadlines to support operations
- Engage in continuous improvement discussions
- Execute additional duties as assigned
