Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience
- Over 5 years in software development, particularly with recent expertise in Python
- At least 3 years of mandatory experience with Django
- Required proficiency in AWS and cloud technologies
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs
- Working knowledge of GitHub and GitHub Actions
- Strong understanding of application development and data security principles
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a willingness to learn emerging technologies
- Capacity to work independently while being resourceful and adaptable
Responsibilities
- Design and develop software for both cloud-hosted and data center platforms
- Collaborate proactively with our Language Services teams to ensure high-quality, requirement-compliant product delivery
- Provide leadership throughout the software development lifecycle
- Take charge of technical integration projects with vendors, customers, and partners
- Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives to boost platform performance, stability, and scalability
- Suggest third-party components and solutions to enhance the core platform
- Ensure data models effectively balance performance and adaptability for current and future needs
- Stay updated on software industry trends, healthcare technology, video conferencing software, mobile applications, and Software Engineering best practices
- Contribute to the creation of specification documents, intellectual property development, and technical documentation for external stakeholders
- Mentor team members to enhance expertise within the group and organization (heavy personnel management is not required for this role)
- Champion industry and company standards related to Software Engineering and data security
