Requirements
Must:
- 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Systems, or Food Safety within USDA-regulated or BRC-certified food manufacturing
- Proven track record in implementing or managing digital quality or operations platforms such as RedZone, Smartsheet, or Tableau
- In-depth knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes
- Strong background in audit preparation, traceability, document control, and compliance with regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with cloud-based platforms and digital reporting tools
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of digital quality systems and collaborate with various departments to standardize and digitize processes impacting compliance and production efficiency
- Develop, maintain, and update internal Quality Management Systems (QMS) documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), SSOPs, GMPs, and logs
- Conduct assessments and readiness checks for USDA, BRC, customer, and third-party audits
- Standardize processes related to traceability, product release, deviation management, and non-conformance tracking
- Collaborate with Operations to integrate LEAN methodologies into Quality Assurance workflows
- Manage document control practices to ensure version accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with audit requirements
- Lead regular review meetings to analyze data, identify trends, and discover continuous improvement opportunities
- Serve as a change champion by promoting digital systems and providing expert support for QMS inquiries and troubleshooting
