Requirements
Must:
- 3+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, particularly in clean room settings (Class 10,000 or similar).
- Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word) and enterprise software tools like Slack and Teams.
- Familiarity with OMM/CMM equipment, microscopes, basic metrology tools, DMMs (Digital Multimeters), and PCBA assembly/rework equipment.
- Practical experience with AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) equipment and inspection methods.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset, with the ability to identify issues proactively.
- Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals, mechanical principles, SMT (Surface-Mount Technology) processes, and mechanical assembly techniques.
- Knowledge of IPC standards, with certification in PCB and PCBA inspection preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and the ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, measure, and assess incoming materials and components to confirm they meet established specifications.
- Operate and maintain precision inspection equipment, including CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) and OMM (Optical Measuring Machines), to qualify PCBs, PCBAs, and essential mechanical components for production use.
- Identify, evaluate, and document component flaws, ensuring traceability for corrective measures and continuous enhancement.
- Build, disassemble, and troubleshoot intricate electronic subassemblies, making certain they adhere to quality standards.
- Conduct basic functional tests and electrical measurements to verify product functionality using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing tools.
- Provide insights and generate data from builds and inspections, working closely with supply chain and manufacturing teams for problem resolution and supplier performance improvements.
- Assist in developing inspection methodologies and contribute to the creation of process improvements and best practices.
