Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager on at least two large and intricate IT projects involving legacy system replacement, data conversion, and new system development
- Demonstrated history of managing a full lifecycle IT project for a public-sector entity
- Experience implementing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in at least one project
- Strong capabilities in managing schedule, budget, scope, and stakeholder communications
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical State stakeholders
- Commitment to be assigned full-time for the duration of the engagement
- Preferred experience in delivering court case management or judicial systems
- Familiarity with large-scale data migrations and enterprise integrations
- Background working on California State IT projects or similar public-sector environments
Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of accountability for project delivery to the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) stakeholders
- Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, including design, build, testing, go-live, and post-go-live support
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and work plans
- Lead proactive risk, issue, and dependency management efforts
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, encompassing technical, data, and business resources
- Manage the legacy system replacement, data conversion, and migration activities
- Ensure adherence to State of California standards, governance, and reporting requirements
- Facilitate executive-level status reporting, steering committees, and milestone reviews
- Supervise vendor coordination, ensuring all contractual obligations are met
