Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
- At least 2 years of supervisory project experience for Team Lead II role.
- Valid Colorado PE license or capacity to obtain it within 6 months.
- Strong technical knowledge in Civil Engineering design for Public Works projects.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Solid planning and organizational proficiencies.
- Proven leadership capabilities, especially in mentoring junior personnel.
- Familiarity with regulatory agencies and related policies.
- Experience with project submittal processes.
- Knowledge in project resource estimating and quality standards.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and execute efficiently.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design software.
- Broad knowledge in various civil engineering disciplines such as water resources and structural engineering.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects and teams within the Water Resources Group, ensuring successful completion of assignments.
- Collaborate with Department and Group Managers to establish team objectives and deliverables for projects.
- Mentor and supervise the work of Project Engineers and Design Engineers, providing essential guidance and training.
- Plan and oversee team activities, ensuring technical performance, budget adherence, and quality assurance.
- Review team members work to guarantee accuracy and compliance with project standards.
- Engage regularly with clients through meetings, calls, and emails to maintain strong relationships.
- Foster long-term client relationships to encourage additional project opportunities and services.
- Maintain updated schedules and submittal logs for project tracking.
- Assist clients during the early phases of project planning to develop effective and environmentally responsible solutions.
- Build collaborative relationships with local city and county officials and regulatory bodies.
- Review and seal project drawings prepared under your supervision when required.
