Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent education
- Over 15 years of experience in software development with proven engineering leadership
- More than 8 years in backend development
- At least 3 years using Typescript and AWS
- Proficient in at least one general-purpose backend language and one frontend language, while being adaptable to others
- Strong expertise in distributed system design
- Experience creating platforms, reusable libraries, and utilities when applicable
- Capable of writing high-quality, modular, functional, and testable code
- Effective troubleshooting abilities within a distributed architecture
Responsibilities
- Design and architect complex, scalable software systems while assessing and enhancing existing architectures
- Plan technical projects and sync milestones with product managers, coordinating engineer tasks and tracking progress
- Develop and deliver impactful technical solutions, overseeing them throughout the development lifecycle
- Create complex features and components, reviewing code and designs from other engineers, and debugging challenging issues across the codebase
- Research cutting-edge technologies and suggest methods to integrate them for product enhancement
- Offer technical mentorship and guidance to fellow engineers while setting best practices and standards
- Communicate intricate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, collaborating across various teams
- Establish quality standards and processes including design and code review protocols, monitoring system performance to ensure quality objectives are achieved, and driving continuous improvement
