Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the RF/Microwave domain
- Proven knowledge of RF/MW oscillator design with experience in various topologies focusing on ultra-low phase noise
- Strong grasp of RF principles and theories including RF signal cascade, impedance matching, and amplifier configurations
- Extensive familiarity with the simulation, design, testing, and production of RF components
- Proficient in commercial RF/Microwave 2.5D and 3D simulation software (preferably HFSS, ADS, or Microwave Office/AWR)
- In-depth understanding of RF board-level design and component selection
- Experience with RF lab equipment and testing methodologies
- Background in all stages of RF product development, from proposal to production
- Proven leadership in managing multiple projects across diverse phases
- Capability to create and review detailed design documentation (schematics, assembly drawings, BOMs, test procedures)
- Familiarity with schematic capture, preferably OrCAD
- Experience mentoring junior engineers in RF design
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities
- Knowledge of Lucix processes and industry best practices for process improvement
- Preferred experience with InP VCO design and microwave circuit design up to Ka-band frequencies
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of advanced RF products, especially oscillators
- Evaluate and analyze customer requirements and constraints effectively
- Generate comprehensive design proposals and provide expert advice on design trade-offs
- Estimate total costs, including materials, labor, testing, and development timelines for new product quotations
- Independently conduct RF system and circuit designs
- Support the design of analog control circuits including voltage regulation and gain control
- Perform detailed compliance analyses for electrical, mechanical, environmental, and regulatory standards for new products
- Determine methodologies and procedures for new assignments
- Tune, test, and document prototypes and engineering models
- Collaborate with Operations by creating test data sheets and supporting integration and testing
- Provide clear, consistent technical insights and judgment
- Innovate new technologies within the RF field
- Mentor junior engineers in RF design and analysis expertise
