Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field; a Masters degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in OSP engineering, specifically focusing on FTTH and FTTB networks.
- Proven leadership experience managing a team of engineers, with a successful track record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance and control methodologies.
- In-depth understanding of telecommunications regulations and standards.
- Excellent technical abilities for resolving complex OSP engineering challenges.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction at all organizational levels.
- Exceptional organizational abilities for managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Proficiency in computer software applications, including CAD and GIS.
Responsibilities
- Supervise all facets of OSP engineering, including the design, construction, and maintenance of the outside plant network.
- Ensure quality assurance and control in all OSP engineering initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing OSP engineering team.
- Oversee the deployment of FTTH and FTTB networks.
- Collaborate with other departments to synchronize OSP engineering operations.
- Develop and implement strategic plans aimed at enhancing OSP engineering efficiency and efficacy.
- Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local telecommunications regulations.
- Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring timely and budget-compliant project completions.
- Provide technical direction and expertise in resolving intricate OSP engineering challenges.
