Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license
- At least 5 years of experience in the telecommunications field, focusing on broadband projects and Fiber Optical Distribution Networks
- Strong understanding of RUS standards and regulations
- Proven skills in designing and developing multiple fiber Outside Plant (OSP)
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities to guide junior engineers
- Capacity to work remotely and effectively engage with a distributed team
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of various fiber Outside Plant (OSP) projects
- Manage all dimensions of broadband projects from conception through to implementation
- Apply RUS expertise to ensure adherence to applicable standards and regulations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance network performance and efficiency
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior engineers and team members
- Conduct regular evaluations of network performance and drive necessary enhancements
- Stay informed about the latest developments and innovations within the telecommunications sector
